What the Photograph reproduces to infinity has occurred only once: the Photograph mechanically repeats what could never be repeated existentially.
Roland Barthes, Camera Lucida
Here is a sampling of my black and white photography to announce a future epic post: an analysis of Camera Lucida by Postmod theorist, Roland Barthes.

Awesome photos. Of course, I particularly am drawn to the photo of WWU’s red square. I began my time at Western studying for my Masters in Education with Teaching Certification, and the Education Department was located in the building behind the sculpture. Just before I was to do my student-teaching, I transferred over to the English Department to work on a Bachelor’s in creative writing. It was during that time that I became immersed in critical theory and learned of folks such as Roland Barthes. I look forward to your analysis.
Nice!
